Nokia rebrands Nokia Music app for Windows Phone 8, rolls out Nokia MixRadio

Nokia has rolled out an update to the Nokia Music app today, effectively rebranding the app to Nokia MixRadio. This app is exclusive to Nokia Lumia handsets and is free for Windows Phone 8 users.

“Introducing the next generation of Nokia Music, Nokia MixRadio, bringing you free, personalized music with no advertising. Listen to the music you want to hear with Play Me, a constant stream of music created just for you. Use Thumbs up and Thumbs down to tell us what you like so that your mix gets better and better every time you play. It’s like having your own personal radio station,” the app description reads.

  • This app adds the following new features to Nokia Music (aside from the name change):
  • Play Me is a personalized mix inspired by your unique music profile.
  • Thumbs up / Thumbs down to help refine your music profile.
  • Share mixes with your friends on Facebook, Twitter or by email and SMS.
  • New name and a new look to make it even easier to use.
  • Bug fixes.

The app also features offline playback so you can save your music and play it later when you do not have an internet connection.

Only the following countries have support for Nokia MixRadio at this time: Australia; Austria; Brazil; Canada; China; Finland; France; Germany; India; Indonesia; Ireland; Italy; Malaysia; Mexico; Netherlands; Norway; Poland; Portugal; Russia; Saudi Arabia; Singapore; South Africa; Spain; Sweden; Switzerland; Thailand; Turkey; United Arab Emirates; United Kingdom; United States of America; Vietnam.

Nokia MixRadio can be upgraded to premium features, which gives you unlimited downloads and more, for $3.99 a month. You can upgrade to this within the app. Hit the download link below to download it.
