No Update In Sight For ‘Halo: The Master Chief Collection’ – onmsft.com

Halo

There’s no update in sight for Halo: The Master Chief Collection but 343 industries is doing their best to keep customers happy by releasing updates on when the update will come. Fans may be growing restless since the game’s release in November and the various content updates that feel more like they are completing the game than enhancing it.

In a blog post they explained that the extensive nature of the update is the primary factor in the timing of its release “this content update includes fundamental changes to the aforementioned systems and making and validating these changes requires substantial time beyond what was needed for prior updates.” The upcoming update is the same update that originally was going to be a beta tested by the public. 343 Industries later changed the beta testing from public to exclusively internal.

Even with recent struggles for Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Halo is still a massively successful game franchise. Players spent hundreds of years’ worth of play hours in just a month on Halo 5 Beta. While there are bumps on the road to the game being completed or fixed through updates, it remains a fan favorite.  The blog post did not give an exact date for their update but did promise their next post on the topic while include a timeline.
