The Witcher 3 has gotten its latest update, and CD Projekt Red has published the full release notes. Update 4.03 brings a slew of fixes and improvements to the game, expanding upon last year’s next-gen update.
The highlight of this update is ray tracing performance improvements to both global illumination and ray-traced reflections. Also, ray tracing-related bugs have been fixed. Specifically, a popping issue with ray-traced vegetation has been fixed, as well as an issue with lighting on the ground and nearby walls in certain weather conditions with ray tracing enabled.
Other notable changes have been implemented in update 4.03 besides just visual ones, such as the implementation of a community mod, that being Next Gen Script Fixes by Sergeanur. Also, the team has now made it impossible for Geralt to eat or drink underwater (with the exception of potions and decoctions).
