New update for Windows 10 Photos App

A couple of days ago Joe Belfiore, corporate vice president of the Operating Systems Group at Microsoft, posted a tweet saying that the Microsoft apps bundled with Windows 10 would be updated with “lots more good stuff”. Today the Photos app for Windows 10 devices (Mobile and PC) has received an update that brings it up to version 922.11072 but unfortunately there is no change log provided so we can only speculate as to what has improved.

The update doesn’t appear to add any new features to the app so it most likely brings performance or stability improvements. The Photos app receives regularly updates and just recently it was updated with an option to browse content by folders from the sidebar.

Hopefully this is the start of an “app update bonanza” by Microsoft. This would be the perfect time to get the Windows 10 core apps in shape as the first wave of Windows 10 devices are due to hit store shelves in October.
