According to the Fiscal Year Quarterly Reports released by Microsoft today, Surface revenue has increased by 61% with sales of Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book. With the increase, gross margin dollars went up 2% (up 6% CC) driven by a mix of search and Surface.
This goes hand-in-hand with the expected increase in Microsoft’s tablet sales predicted by Telsyte earlier in the week. The firm just might be right that Microsoft Surface will pull up the slack left behind by Apple. As we reported earlier, Surface sales are a big reason why Microsoft’s More Personal Computing division grew in spite of significant declines in Windows phone revenues.
