Microsoft will begin delisting games from the Xbox 360 Marketplace starting February 7th. Around 46 games will be removed, among them classic Xbox 360 hits like Mass Effect 2, The Orange Box, The Witcher 2 and more. See here for the full list of upcoming removals.

While many of these titles are available via backwards compatibility on the modern storefront on Xbox One and Series X|S consoles, some of them are not, such as Sega classics Jet Set Radio and Daytona USA. Games that have already been purchased will remain playable after they delisted from the Xbox 360 Marketplace.

This news is likely to add to some gamers’ concerns about video game preservation in the age of digital downloads. Case in point: Nintendo’s Wii U and 3DS digital storefronts will shut down completely later this year.
