Microsoft has announced that the Viva Connections mobile experience is available in Microsoft Teams starting today. The Viva Connections mobile app was unveiled earlier this month, and it gives employees access to relevant news, conversations, and other resources from SharePoint and Yammer.
“This preview release includes the Viva Connections mobile app and an updated version of the Viva Connections desktop experience that enables organizations to customize, brand, and deploy their own employee app for their workforce,” the company explained in a blog post.
Microsoft has also detailed some big updates coming to the Viva Connections desktop app, and these improvements should make deployments easier for IT Admins via the Microsoft Teams Admin center. This release brings the ability for users to add the Viva Connections dashboard and feed to their SharePoint home site as a web part.
The dashboard web part makes it easier for employees to find valuable resources and actionable tasks. Moreover, the feed web part should bring together relevant discussions and news across Microsoft 365 services. It helps employees to stay informed and stay on top of important activities and events.
