Announced at the event in New York City today, Microsoft Teams is a chat-based workspace designed to facility collaboration together. The new tool is now available from Microsoft through Office 365.
Microsoft Teams aims to be the new hub for teamwork with tools, people, and conversations all in one place. It has access to SharePoint, OneNote, and Skype for Business where you can use all of Office 365 while working on documents in the same secure space.
The product page tells us that Microsoft Teams is able to:
- Add tabs to provide quick access to frequently used documents and cloud services
- Explore data and take quick actions with bots
- Pull in Connectors for updates from third-party party tools and services
You can check out the product page where IT admins can now turn on Microsoft Teams for their business’ Office 365 plan.
We’ll learn more about Microsoft Teams as the day goes on, so be sure to keep your eyes on WinBeta/OnMSFT.
