Microsoft has just made a bit of a blockbuster announcement, that it is shuttering Lionhead Studios in the UK, and Press Play Studios in Denmark. This means the end of development for Fable Legends for Lionhead, and Project Knoxville for Press Play.
A post on the Xbox Wire by Hanno Lemke, GM of Microsoft Studios Europe, who wrote:
These changes are taking effect as Microsoft Studios continues to focus its investment and development on the games and franchises that fans find most exciting and want to play.
Microsoft recently touted Fable Legends as one of its first cross-play games, but it also recently delayed the open beta of Fable Legends to this spring from its first announced release of last holiday season, and now it looks like it won’t make it to market at all.
