In an official Surface blog post, Microsoft goes over the three artists that were hired to create the Limited Edition Touch Covers for the Surface device. Microsoft used three artists by the names of Kate, Joy, and Liu to create some vistually stunning pieces of artwork for the Surface Touch Cover.
Kate, who works at Microsoft as an industrial designer, designed the Touch Cover that features skulls. “Kate drew inspiration from the Day of the Dead, a Mexican holiday that is celebrated in Mexico and around the world,” Microsoft explained. Joy Cho, a graphics designer and blogger, created the flowers design for the Touch Cover, while Liu Qing created the Touch Cover which features drawings from the Year of the Snake. “The snake is regarded as an intelligent and logical animal, also possessing qualities of ambition,” Microsoft explained. Check out the video below highlighting Kate’s work. Have you purchased one of these Touch Covers?
