Microsoft releases Work Folders app for Android

After releasing the Work Folders app on iOS devices a year ago, Microsoft has just released the same app on the Google Play Store. If you don’t know what this app is about, Work Folders is a Windows Server feature that lets you store and access work files on personal computers and devices in addition to corporate PCs, even when you’re offline. However, be aware that your workplace has first to enable your account before you can use the app.

Here are the key features of the new Android app:

  • Access your work files and folders on your devices.
  • Pin files so that you can view them while you’re offline.
  • Files are encrypted and protected by an app passcode, keeping others out.

As Microsoft want business users to be productive on all platforms, it’s not surprising to see the company pushing bring-your-own-device (BYOD) forward with this new Android app. You can get the app via the download link below.
