Microsoft releases Windows 11 Insider Dev Channel build 25197 – onmsft.com

Microsoft has just releases the latest Windows 11 Insider build for the Dev Channel, this one clocking in at 25197. This latest build re-introduces the tablet-optimized taskbar, which was removed from Insider builds back in April, adds a “rounded focus and hover treatment” on icons in the lower right for all device types (but not for everyone in the latest build, of course, it’s rolling out), and updates to Calculator, and Media Player. You can get all the details from the blog post, including a list of what’s fixed and what are still Known Issues.

One important note on the syystem tray updates:

You may also notice that it is not possible to drag and drop or rearrange your system tray icons with this change. We heard your feedback on this change earlier this year and are working to address this in a future Insider Preview build.

Microsoft has also officially introduced animated icons in Settings in this build, although we already told you about those.

If you’re in the Windows 11 Insider Dev Channel, be sure to check  out the blog post for all the details and get to downloading
