Microsoft released a firmware update for Lumia 950 and 950 XL Windows phones today which fixes several stability issues and improves GPS reliability and call quality.

The update isn’t available to all of the phones in the Lumia 950 range though but Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL device owners can check if their phone is compatible by opening Settings, scrolling to Extras, tapping Advanced info, and comparing the information displayed under “Manufacturer Name” and “Mobile Operator” with that on the official list of approved devices.

The official list is far too long to mention on this page so make sure to check it out over here to see if your phone made the cut.

The Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL are the flagship Windows phones for Windows 10 Mobile, the mobile version of the new Windows 10 operating system that launched on PC in 2015. Other smartphones also running Windows 10 Mobile, such as the HP Elite x3, were recently announced and will prove a bit of competition for the Lumia phones.
