Microsoft Paint isn’t getting killed off with Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, deprecated yes

Many publications are posting that those who have been using the designer affectionately dubbed Microsoft Paint will see its end come Windows 10 Fall Creators Update time.

Well, while that makes for gasp inducing headlines for those who have used the program for over 40 years to make quick edits and gaudy family photos graphics, it’s not quite true.

The reality is that Microsoft Paint will be ‘deprecated’ and could be removed in a future release of Windows.

However, as of now, those who rely on the spartan utility of Microsoft Paint will still be able to use it alongside its would be predecessor Paint 3D when the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update hits devices later this year.

So yes, you’ll still be able to use Microsoft Paint, the little program pundits love to hate, in the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, but we urge you to check out Paint 3D instead.
