Microsoft today is introducing the first console in a series of one of a kind Xbox One S systems which are specially designed for certain celebrities and brands. The console being revealed today is designed for the DJ duo, The Chainsmokers, and it comes complete with custom lights and more.
According to Microsoft, the Xbox team needed to use a thumbnail sized USB-powered microprocessor on this special Xbox One S. This Microprocessor works in real time and converts sound into an “every-changing and dynamic light show.” The custom Xbox One S also features sixty miniature pixels which illuminate the multi-layered acrylic display and create a 3D effect.
The Chainsmokers were obviously pumped to have this cool console in their possession, and the duo remarked to Microsoft on how amazing the console is.
“We were really pumped to work with Xbox on this project and help bring our music to life in a new way, by combining it with the best gaming console in the world… We knew the team would do something amazing, but when we saw the custom Xbox One S for the first time, we were both blown away by how cool the design is.”
