Earlier this month, Microsoft introduced the new Surface Pro 4, and also surprised the audience with the Surface Book. Apparently, the device seems to have a very strong demand, and if a new report from Digitimes is to be believed, Microsoft has increased the shipments of the Surface Pro for the fourth quarter of this year.
According to the publication, citing sources from the supply chain, Microsoft has increased the Surface Pro shipments by 60 percent to 500,000 units from an original 300,000 units, in anticipation of the high sales during the holiday season this year. The holiday season is just around the corner, and we can expect the company to introduce some catchy deals to make sure they can sell out as many Surface Pro or the Surface Book units as they can.
Microsoft has improved its Surface line up to a great extent, and added the new Macbook Pro competitor — the Surface Book — to its product portfolio as well. The same sources expect the Surface series shipments to reach 4-5 million units for 2015.
