If you’re a Windows Insider and you have been having issues installing Windows 10 Build 14986 via Windows Update, then it’s time to complain no further. Microsoft today has officially released the ISOs for the last Fast Ring Insider build of the year (via Neowin.)
The ISO files are available now via the Windows Insider page, and will unlock the same amount of awesomeness that the standard build delivered via Windows Update. In case you missed it, build 14986 brings an entire set of new features to the Windows 10 experience. As we had reported during the initial launch, the build introduced new features to Cortana, the Windows Game Bar, Windows Ink, Narrator, Windows Defender, and more.
There were also several improvements to the Windows 10 experience in Asia, including better support for Chinese (Simplified) handwriting recognition. And, while the build also brought several known issues with narrator and keyboard brightness, it also fixed the taskbar settings, and other issues from builds past.
If you have not already done so, we wish you well in your downloading, and invite you to check out our Cody Carson’s video on Build 14986 which will give you a pretty good overview of the new build experience.
