After a year since the company announced it would be bringing its web browser, Microsoft Edge, to competing mobile platforms such as iOS and Android, Microsoft’s latest attempt at a web browser has gained some success.
It appears that, unlike Internet Explorer, consumers are more accepting of Microsoft Edge, with the browser now reaching over 5 million downloads on Google’s Android mobile platform, via the Play Store. This follows its achievement of hitting 1 million downloads after 1 month of being launched.
Microsoft’s approach of bringing its software to platforms outside of Windows definitely appears to be paying off, showing signs of increased consumer confidence in the company.
