Microsoft Edge browser app gains ebook search and inked notes on iOS

Brad Stephenson

Microsoft’s Edge browser has updated to Version 42.5.3 on Apple’s iOS devices such as the iPhone and iPad.

This latest app update adds several features that had been previously tested in the Beta app so it appears as if they’re all now ready for use by the average user. Among the new features introduced with this update are the syncing of inked notes from a connected Windows 10 PC and the ability to search for owned ebooks.

Here’s the full release notes:

  • Sign in with a work or school account to get to protected organizational sites
  • PDF Books: See inked notes (from PC) on your phone
  • Books: Search for words in your e-books
  • Performance improvements
