Minecraft Dungeons, the Minecraft-themed dungeon crawler released last year on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC has crossed 10 million players, Mojang Studios announced today. This is very good news for a game that evolved quite a lot since its May 2020 launch, with a fourth DLC to be released later this month.

The regular Minecraft remains one of the most popular games of all time with 200 million copies sold and 126 million monthly active users as of last year, so it’s no surprise to see Minecraft Dungeons performing well. The dungeon crawler was also priced at a very accessible $20, and it’s also free to play with Xbox Game Pass for Console and PC.

To celebrate this 10 million players milestone, Minecraft Dungeons will offer a new cape and pet to all players on February 24. On this date, the game will get a free content update introducing some changes to the Apocalypse Plus difficulty level, plus new procedurally-generated end-game levels called Ancient Hunts. Flames of the Nether, the game’s latest DLC will also be available on this date and will add six new levels, exclusive artifacts, weapons, and gear.
