Metropcs starts selling the lumia 640, costs $39 after mail-in rebate

Last week, T-Mobile finally started selling the budget-friendly Lumia 640 in the Unites States. If you happen to be a MetroPCS user waiting for the handset, there’s some good news for you. MetroPCS, the prepaid subsidiary of the Magenta carrier, is now selling the Lumia 640 (via Windows Central).

The full retail price of the handset is $129, but customers can grab it from MetroPCS for just $39 after the instant rebate of $60 and mail-in rebate of $30 — this is a very attractive price for the handset.

As a quick recap, the Lumia 640 features a 5-inch display boasting a resolution of 1,280 by 720 pixels. The device features 1GB of RAM and a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2Ghz. Other features include 8GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, an 8MP camera for photos and videos and ships with Windows Phone 8.1 as its operating system.
