Maps for Windows 10 update rolling out to all users

Thanks to a tip from our reader Debjyoti (Thanks Debjyoti!) we can report that an update for Maps for Windows 10 is now rolling out to all Windows 10 users.

As the Windows Store listing for the app notes, the update brings many new features, including the ability to minimize search results, directions, and location info in order to view more of the map. Search also has been added to 3D cities, as well as the ability to view maps offline, and add notes to your favorite maps to keep track of things you want to remember.

Additionally, the user interface of turn by turn directions gets some improvements for a better look while in landscape mode. It is also worth nothing that this update gives you turn by turn directions in the voice of Cortana, although only in the US, UK, China, France, Italy, Germany, and Spain.
