Rumors about the launch of the Surface Phone aren’t new. We’ve heard about the alleged Surface Phone several times in the past, even before the launch of Windows 10 Mobile, and hints were even dropped by company’s executives as well.
Once again, it seems the company has inadvertently leaked information about what could be the highly rumored Surface Phone. In a video released by Microsoft China to explain what Continuum is, the company accidentally (or intentionally) mentioned a new smartphone named “Lumia X” in the description of the video (via Phone Arena). The new feature is compatible with the Lumia 950, Lumia 950 XL and Acer Jade Primo, but the company also mentioned Lumia X as the fourth device which supports this feature.
The name of the smartphone was later removed by the company from the description, which suggests that we may get another high-end Lumia device in the near future, which could very well be the long awaited Surface Phone.
For those of you who don’t know, Continuum give users the ability to use it as a full fledged PC by connecting their smartphone to an external monitor, keyboard and a mouse using the Display Dock, an accessory which comes with an additional cost.
