The latest release of Windows 10 10061 preview build to Windows Insiders provided users with numerous new features. However, Microsoft failed to mention the addition of the Contact Support app; an app that allows you to address technical problems with Windows 10 directly with Microsoft. The Contact Support app seems like a good idea, unless of course, you can’t actually use your Windows PC to use the Contact Support app.
There are three options to choose from within the Contact Support app; My device (Device, Windows, and other software issues), Microsoft account & billing (opens up a browser to login to your Microsoft account), and Microsoft online services (Skype, OneDrive, Office 365, etc.). For the My device and Microsoft online services support options, there are several ways to get help with Windows 10 through the Contact App.
For the My device and Microsoft online services have identical support options and bring you to the screen above. Once here, you can ask the Microsoft opportunity through troubleshooting forums, chat online with a Microsoft Answer Tech (English only), Schedule a call for a certain time, or have Microsoft contact you immediately. Currently, the wait times for all of these services are all under a minute, but that may change depending on who uses the Contact Support app.
The Contact Support app is probably best suited for new users of Windows 10, or Windows PCs and laptops in general. However, it looks like a great addition to the latest build of Windows 10 preview and hopefully, newer features of the Contact Support app will come out in the future.
