Kevin Turner confirms Microsoft Band v2 is on the way at WPC

During the Wednesday keynote of the Worldwide Partner Conference, Microsoft’s Kevin Turner explained at length the role of the cloud at Microsoft and discussed their hardware. One thing he snuck into his speech in passing was that Microsoft is working on the next Microsoft Band stating that they are ‘working on v2 and beyond.”

The Microsoft Band was originally a demo of Microsoft Health but after unexpected success people have been clamoring for a successor. It’s been considered it a forgone conclusion that another device is on the way but this is official confirmation at a very public event. Kevin Turner said that Microsoft is working on v2 of the Microsoft Band and beyond, indicating a long term approach to one of the newest lines of Microsoft’s hardware family.

We’ll have more details as they roll out including any other major news from WPC this week.
