The official Instagram app has just updated on Windows 10 Mobile and Windows 10 devices and while this update didn’t introduce the newly launched video filters which can now be found on the iOS and Android apps, it did improve the app in some other areas.
Overall, the Instagram app now runs a lot smoother on both Windows 10 PCs and on Windows phones. Transitions are now significantly smoother especially when swiping during the creation of Instagram Stories. A new mini-button has been added to the Your Story slideshow, which lets users create a new Story entry while watching their current ones, and the icons in the Home feed have been given a new bolder look to help them stand out when scrolling.
