HTC One for Windows has made its fair share of appearances in the rumor mill in the past few weeks. We’ve seen the device on a carrier’s website, as well as a number of rumors revealing the specifications of the alleged device. If those were not enough for you, here’s another leaked press render of the upcoming HTC One for Windows with the usual Verizon branding on the device — going in line with previous rumors that it’s coming to Big Red.
HTC has scheduled an event on August 19th where the company is expected to officially announce the Windows Phone version of the HTC One M8. There’s no official confirmation, but what else could be the main motive for the event? Nexus tablet? Possible, but several reports hint at the HTC One for Windows.
As far as the specifications are concerned, the purported device will rock a 5-inch display sporting a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels, as well as a quad-core Snapdragon 801 for processing power. There’s 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage with a microSD card slot, a Duo camera setup on board, 2,600 mAh battery and should come with Windows Phone 8.1 its operating system. The purported handset is also expected to make use of the Dot View Case, as well as a bunch of HTC-related apps on board.
Stay tuned, we’ll update you as soon as HTC officially announces the handset. In the meantime, what are your thoughts about the device? Worth switching from a Lumia? Personally, I’m a big fan of HTC One’s design and would make a switch if its turns out to be true.
