If you’re sporting a Lumia 930, Lumia Icon, or Lumia 1520, you’ve probably missed the ability to sound off with “Hey Cortana” and have your Windows phone respond in a hands-free fashion. Well, today’s your lucky day: Windows 10 Mobile build 10581 brings just that functionality to Microsoft’s Windows Phone replacement.
For devices upgraded from Windows Phone 8.1 like the Lumia 930, Lumia Icon, and Lumia 1520 that had the “Hey Cortana” feature – with this build “Hey Cortana” should work again in Windows 10. To make sure it’s turned on, just go to Settings > Extras > Hey Cortana.
As always, you’ll be enabling the newest build by turning on Windows Insiders, and then hitting that upgrade button. Once install steps are completed, sit back and enjoy Cortana as Microsoft’s personal assistant responds to your every command.
