Halo Wars 2, the latest first-party title from Microsoft Studios is now available for everyone on Xbox One and Windows 10. The game launched in early-access last Friday for those of you who purchased the game’s Ultimate Edition: as a reminder, this bundle includes the game’s season pass plus Halo Wars: Definitive Edition, the remastered version of the Xbox 360 title released in 2009.
Just like its predecessor, Halo Wars 2 is an RTS (real time strategy) game and it’s actually the first Halo title to launch simultaneously on Xbox One and Windows 10. Unlike Gears of War 4 and Forza Horizon 3 though, the Xbox Play Anywhere title doesn’t support cross-play multiplayer between both platforms.
You can purchase the game’s $59.99 Standard Edition from the Windows Store using the link below, but European customers can also purchase a physical version of the PC game which also supports Xbox Play Anywhere. Let us know in the comments if you expect many Xbox One and Windows 10 users to purchase Halo Wars 2.
