Halo: The Master Chief Collection is here and contains four complete Halo games, every multiple multiplayer map including DLC from console and PC, a remaster of Halo 2 with new audio and cinematics, and a new user interface.
The collection takes up most of the 45GB on the Blu-ray it comes with, and there is also (about) a 20GB update, but can start playing while it is downloading. While some have not been very happy about this, just think about all the content you will be able to play after the one-time download. Sadly, the Spartan Ops move which debuted in Halo 4 has been delayed until December.
For $59.99, this is the perfect way to introduce yourself to the franchise that is arguably responsible for the popularity of the Xbox. If you’re already a fan, this is the perfect way to reminisce, and fill in the time until Halo 5.
You can Pre-Order and Pre-Download the game now! It will available for most countries on the 11th, with a few still having to wait (Belgium on November 12, France on November 14, Japan on November 13). While not perfect, Microsoft’s efforts at a simultaneous launch is very commendable.
