GroupMe for iOS gets the ability to change group ownership along with the usual fixes

If you’re currently using Skype’s GroupMe app on your iOS device, then you might want to head over to the App Store now and check for an update. The Skype team has pushed out an update for the app, adding in the ability to change group owners, as well as the usual big fixes.

Overall, the update pushes the newest version to version 5.6.4. For the complete details on what has changed, see the changelog below.

  • Group ownership can now be changed. Navigate to the group settings pane to ensure a smooth transition of power.
  • Fixed issue causing URL preview to fail with “unreachable web page” for some links.
  • Quick-reply and like from a Notification now works more reliably.
  • Fixes for top crashers.
