This week at gamescom 2015, Microsoft showcased the latest and greatest lineup of games coming to Windows 10. Halo Wars 2, Fable Legends, Killer Instinct, Gigantic and more than 30 independent games are slated to be released for Windows 10. Straight from the Microsoft Fire Hose, these games will provide a more unified experience when Xbox One gets its Windows 10 update in November.

Phil Spencer of Xbox, describes the reason behind the multitude of games coming to Windows 10.

“DirectX 12 is a prime example of how we’ve architected Windows 10 to be the best Windows ever for games. Yesterday we showcased a tech demonstration from director Tabata-san and the Final Fantasy 15 team at Square showing the incredible realism that Direct X12 and Windows 10 make possible. Our vision is to deliver the games you want, an easy connection to the people you want to play, across any device.”

Everyone who uses Windows 10 should be excited for this latest announcement. Developers should realize the power of developing on DirectX 12 and the ability to share their creations cross-platform. It is an unprecedented opportunity for developers to reach millions of gamers across the world.
