After months of rumors anticipation, today is the day Gears of War 4 fans have been waiting for. The next generation of Gears of War has officially been released around the world, marking the start of a new saga for one of the most acclaimed video game franchises in history.
Gears of War 4 is a title which encourages players to “Never Fight Alone” and is also one of the latest Xbox Play Anywhere Titles, meaning that Xbox One and Windows 10 PC players can cross play with each other in all modes of the game. The game, though, is set 25 years after the end of Gears of War 3 and focuses on the son of Marcus Fenix and Anya Stroud, J.D. Fenix who, alongside his friends Delmont “Del” Walker and Kait Diaz deal with a new threat to humanity’s survival.
The game also features a brand new Horde 3.0 mode, which as the Xbox team previously noted, makes Gears of War 4 the “ultimate game to play with friends.” Plenty of new content and maps is also in the works, and the developers of Gears of War 4 have promised that maps and new content will be added into the playlist rotation every month in order to bring a steady stream of fresh and engaging content.
Gears of War 4 is now available at your local retailer for the price of $59.99.
