Fortnite’s latest Crew Pack outfit seems inspired by Nintendo’s Arms – onmsft.com

The May 2022 Fortnite Crew Pack has been officially revealed and it’s an interesting one.

In addition to the regular 1,000 V-Bucks and access to the current Battle Pass, the Fortnite Crew Pack for May primarily revolves around the new outfit, Southpaw.

Everyone loves an underdog 👑

Southpaw is kind of a new type of skin for the Fortnite video game as her functional arms are robotic attachments that definitely set her apart from the hundreds of other characters on the Battle Royale island.

Of course, it’s impossible not to draw connections between Southpaw’s aesthetic and those of the characters in Nintendo’s Arms video game on the Nintendo Switch which look remarkably similar.

Fortnite has frequently released outfits inspired by video game and movie characters so this isn’t too surprising. It’ll be interesting to see what Arms fans think though once the skin rolls out on May 1st.

The Southpaw outfit will also be accompanied by a pickaxe and a back bling. The official announcement does tease a series of additional content to be given to Crew Pack subscribers throughout May such as a series of backgrounds, a lobby music track, and some yet-to-be-announced content.

Fingers crossed Southpaw gets an alternative appearance as just a single look is a bit disappointing for what should be a premium skin.

In other Fortnite news, the game raised over $144 million for Ukraine earlier this month and it looks like Star Wars’ Darth Vader could be added to the title sometime Fortnite Season 3.
