Once again, Microsoft has published their weekly Windows Store Red Stripe deals, and the Windows 10 Deals Hub app is the best place to check them out. This week brings us seven apps and games including the most significant gaming title ever published as a Universal Windows app.
Games
Rise of the Tomb Raider
Microsoft released the PC version of the popular Xbox One title Rise of the Tomb Raider as a Universal Windows app in the Windows Store.
After uncovering an ancient mystery, Lara must explore the most treacherous and remote regions of Siberia to find the secret of immortality before a ruthless organization known as Trinity. Lara must use her wits and survival skills, form new alliances, and ultimately embrace her destiny as the Tomb Raider. Experience high-octane action moments, conquer beautifully hostile environments, engage in brutal guerilla combat, and explore awe-inspiring deadly tombs in the evolution of survival action. In “Rise of the Tomb Raider,” Lara becomes more than a survivor as she embarks on her first Tomb Raiding expedition.
The massive title is on sale right now for $53.99, down from the a non-promotional price of $59.99, making it reasonable for a major PC gaming title but somewhat unusual for a Windows Store title. We’ll likely see more apps come in at a higher price point as the Universal Windows Platform starts attracting larger and more robust software.
Note that the game does have some serious hardware requirements, unlike most Windows Store games so far. You’ll want to have at least 6GB of RAM and a decent discrete GPU, as well as 35GB of storage for the base game.
Drift Mania: Street Outlaws
Next up is a racing game that takes you through a number of locations with excellent 3D graphics.
Drift Mania: Street Outlaws takes the heat to the streets allowing players to battle and compete in underground drift events based on various world locations.

If you’re looking for a logic puzzle to keep your brain fresh, then you might want to check out The Bridge.
