With PUBG launching on Xbox Game Preview on Tuesday, December 12, developer Bluehole took advantage of the Game Awards ceremony yesterday to release a new live action trailer. The short clip does a good work at showing what the battle royale game is all about: random people jumping from a plane, landing on an unknown territory and then fighting each other for survival.
While this new trailer is a good taste of things to come on the Xbox One, Xbox Australia is also planning to do literal airdrops in the country to promote the game’s release on the Xbox One (via VG247). Tomorrow, a plane will release three mysterious supply drops in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, and the exact locations will be announced soon on this Facebook page.
Last but not least, Bluehole also announced today that PUBG will be officially released on Steam on December 20. The version 1.0 of the game will include climbing and vaulting as well as a new desert map called Miramar. “When PC 1.0 comes out, the first part of our journey will be over, but only so that the next one can begin,” the developer explained.
