Latest version to offer more extensive compatibility testing, including web and virtualisation
London, 17th May 2011 – ChangeBASE, the world leader in automated application compatibility testing and remediation, is vastly extending the list of report groups available in AOKLite, the free, downloadable version of the AOK workbench. The enhanced software will now check and fix up to 10 MSIs and web applications for compatibility with Windows 7, Internet Explorer 8, a range of virtualisation platforms, Office 2010, Windows Server 2008 R2 and 64-bit.
AOKLite generates RAG (Red, Amber, Green) reports detailing application compatibility. In this latest version, these reports will cover not only for Windows 7, but also a number of other report groups, such as AOK Virtualise-It which tests the applications’ compatibility and potential to be virtualised with, for example, Microsoft Application Virtualization or Citrix XenApp™ & XenDesktop®.
ChangeBASE have also included AOK Browse-It plugins, which will allow the user to load in web apps and URLs and identify any compatibility issues when moving from Internet Explorer 6 to Internet Explorer 8, and AOK Office-It, to assess whether any applications have any dependencies on an older version of Office. The updated version has also been equipped with Windows Server 2008 R2 plugins as well as 64-bit checks.
