Microsoft’s Bing Search business has been a success lately, and at least one small part of the reason why is the ubiquitous nature of the company’s Bing Search apps on various platforms. Just like the rest of Microsoft’s products and services, apps exist on iOS and Android to go along with Microsoft’s own platform, Windows 10–ensuring that no matter what device you use, chances are you’ll be able to run Microsoft’s own apps.

The Bing Search app for Android has been updated to add in some new features and functionality. Here’s the changelog:

• Search by image: Snap a pic and find similar images online
• Touch query: Get new suggestions for image and video search by tapping the separate words
• Image insights: Get more information on the image you look
• Barcode scanner: Better shopping with results from more stores (including eBay, Best Buy, and more)

As is sometimes the case, not everything on that list appears to be brand new. However, that’s the changelog that Microsoft provides, and so what’s what we have to work with. Let us know in the comments if you find any of these updates, whether or not they’re brand new, of value to you in using Bing Search on your Android device.
