Microsoft has enhanced Bing Maps for those of you who reside in Japan. In fact, Bing Maps now has greater transit coverage and additional transit-related features in Japan, allowing you to get to your desired destination with ease.
“With this release, we’ve expanded the number of agencies and routes in Bing Maps. This means that no matter where you’re heading in Japan, if there’s a transit route that can get you there, we know about it and can tell you how to use it. This is great news both for tourists and commuters, whether your commute is short or you have a meeting in another city,” Microsoft stated in an official blog post.
Bing Maps will now show you detailed walking instructions between stops, as well as walking instructions from the beginning to the end of your trip. The detailed instructions showcase which side of the street to walk on and the location of crosswalks. Bing Maps also features English translations of station names, so tourists can find the right train to take in Japan.
So there you have it. Next time you are in Japan and you have to quickly figure out where your next train or bus will be located, you can have some help with Bing Maps.
