Ben the PC Guy takes a new job with just created Microsoft News Labs

Kip Kniskern

If you’ve followed Microsoft’s consumer efforts over the years, you know Ben Rudolf, or as he’s known on Twitter, @BenThePCGuy. From Windows Phone (remember Smoked by Windows Phone?) to working directly under Mark Penn (and probably getting us all Scroogled in the process), to working as the Global Director for Retail Experience and then the Managing Director for Modern Journalism, Ben has been in the consumer limelight for years. You may even remember Ben as one of the forces behind Poll with Straw, a Windows Phone / Web polling app that we used here at WinBeta/OnMSFT.

Anyway, Ben is continuing his career path in modern journalism and moving to a new endeavor within Microsoft, this time with a move to engineering:

All the best to Ben in this new job, can’t wait to see what’s up with Microsoft News Labs, and anyone who makes a habit out of kicking the crap out of Daniel Rubino is ok by us ;).
