At&t starts rolling out the windows phone 8. 1 update for samsung ativ s neo

\

Rejoice Samsung ATIV S Neo owners, you be glad to find out that you’re not forgotten. If you’re tied to AT&T, this is a good time to check for any update notification on your device as the carrier is now rolling out the Windows Phone 8.1 Update for the handset. Yes, the good old ATIV S Neo is getting the Windows Phone 8.1 update on AT&T, and brings plethora of new features introduced with the Windows Phone 8.1 update.

\

The latest update brings Microsoft’s answer to Siri and Google now, a personal assistant dubbed as Cortana which can perform a variety of tasks. Furthermore, there are customizable Live Tiles, improved efficiency, word flow keyboard and much more.

\

Here’s the change log as per AT&T:

\

    \

  • Personalization: Live Tiles with multiple sizes and color options let you pin apps, music and people to your Start Screen, so you see the information you want to see, just the way you want to see it.
  • \

  • Windows Across All Your Screens: With OneDrive, Skype, Office and Bing, the Windows experience extends across all your screens—phones, tablets, PCs and Xbox—so you can shoot, share, work and play on-the-go.
  • \

  • Word Flow Keyboard with Shape Writing: The updated Word Flow keyboard with Windows Phone 8.1 knows your contacts, learns your phrases and has shape writing integrated right in so there’s no need for a separate app.
  • \

  • Xbox: With Xbox games, music and video in your pocket, you have even more entertainment options when on-the-go.
  • \

  • Efficiency: Windows Phone is optimized to help you do more, with the Action Center for managing notifications and quick actions, and a new suite of device and data management tools.
  • \

\

If it’s not there yet, don’t panic as the update process can take a few days to complete. Alternatively, you can manually check for the update by heading over to Settings > Phone Update, and see if the update is available. If you’ve already updated, let us know if you can notice improvement in performance.
