Archos 40 Cesium

Back in August, French manufacturer Archos announced its budget-friendly Windows Phone handset dubbed as the 40 Cesium. The handset is designed to target the entry-level market, and comes with mediocre specifications on board — something similar to the Lumia 530, but carrying a slightly lower price tag. On a side note, Archos is one of the fifty manufacturers who decided to adopt Windows Phone after Microsoft waived off the licensing fees from the operating system.

Recently, the 40 Cesium went on sale in Germany, and costs €89. The handset features a 4-inch display sporting a resolution of 800 by 480 pixels, and runs Windows Phone 8.1 as its operating system. There’s 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot for expansion, dual-SIM connectivity and a 1,950 mAh battery. Last but not the least, there’s a 5MP primary camera for photos and videos, as well as a 0.3MP front-facing camera. The handset is available in three color options: blue, black and yellow.
