An update to Windows 10 Insider build 17744 is rolling out to Slow Ring Insiders with a fix for a BSOD issue

Windows Insiders on the Slow Ring can download today an updated version of the Windows 10 Redstone 5 build 17744 that rolled out to the Fast Ring last week. This updated build 17744 includes the KB4459375 update which addresses an issue causing PCs to show a BSOD (or GSOD, if you prefer) when shutting down or when logging out of your user profile.

This is the only change included in this updated build 17744, and the previous list of known issues for the Windows 10 build 17744 is still valid. Microsoft previously announced that Windows Insiders on the Slow Ring could get slightly different builds than the one that previously shipped to Fast Ring Insiders, and this is exactly what Microsoft is doing today with this cumulative update.

We’re still waiting for new Redstone 5 or 19H1 builds this week, but it looks like we may have to wait a bit more this time. On the official Microsoft Community on Discord, Jason Howard from the Windows Insider team shared that “we’ve had some build issues internally. Haven’t had a new build in Canary/OSG for a few days.” Howard didn’t share more details, but it looks like the Windows Insider team will need more time to get new builds compiled and properly tested.
