Amazon Assistant arrives on Windows 10 as the latest Edge extension

Kip Kniskern

Along with another new Windows 10 Insider build, Microsoft is getting another Edge extension, this time in the form of the Amazon Assistant. The latest extension for Microsoft’s Windows 10 browser, The Amazon Assistant sits in a right hand side dropdown window and offers product comparisons, search, and quick links to favorite Amazon features like Your Orders, Your Lists, Today’s Deals, Amazon Music, and more, as well as a link to the full Amazon.com site.

You can quickly add items to your Wish List or a registry with the Amazon Assistant, and the Assistant will notify you with any important Amazon news, like your package delivery times:

When I have something to tell you – I’ll send you a card. If I think it’s important, I’ll notify you. Right now, I know Amazon’s best deals – but soon I’ll be able to tell you when your package ships and send exclusive offers tailored to you

You can add the Amazon Assistant using the link below, it just came out today but it does not appear to require build 14388 to install (although it does require an Anniversary Update Windows Insider build).

Once installed, the Amazon Assistant sits in the right hand Edge sidebar accessed by the three ellipses in the top right corner:

From there, you can open the Assistant and get quick access to shopping on Amazon through Edge:

You can grab the Amazon Assistant through the Microsoft Store now, and install it if you’re using one of the latest Windows Insider builds of Windows 10 and Edge:
