Age of Empires is a classic franchise, with its roots reaching back as far as 20 years ago. It’s been a hallmark of Windows gaming for quite some times, so Real Time Strategy (RTS) fans who are looking for a new challenge may be interested in the franchise’s newest entry. It’s called Age of Empires: Definitive Edition, and it’s a full remaster of the base game.
The game will be entering its first beta stages by the end of this week, so the team recently took to twitter asking for people to sign up if they haven’t.
We're bringing in our 1st group of BETA participants by the end of the week, so sign up if you haven't already!????????️ https://t.co/E0Jd8DWV3e

It seems like this is just the first wave in a closed beta, so signing up won’t guarantee you a spot in the beta. You can’t get in if you don’t sign up though, so you may as well take a moment to throw your hat in the ring. Age of Empires seems like it’s going to be getting a pretty faithful remaster here, so fans of the franchise should really take a look at it for a dose of nostalgia, if for no other reason.
