The month of April is coming to an end, which means that AdDuplex has released its newest report covering the Windows market share on a select number of sampled PCs worldwide. According to the latest data, the usage share of Windows 11 has slowed for the second month in row, growing less than 0.4% in April.
More specifically, in April, AdDuplex reported that Windows 11’s share was 19.7% on surveyed systems part of their data. That’s still up from the 19.4% share in March, and the 19.3% in February. As for recent versions of Windows 10, the Windows 10 21H2 update remains popular with a 35% share and the Windows 10 21H1 update with a 26.4% share. Over the last month, Windows 10 21H2 is up significantly from 28.5% in February, and Windows 10 21H1 is down from 26.5%.
The numbers for the Windows 10 21H2 update should not be too surprising, as Microsoft detailed that the most recent featured Windows 10 update is now ready for broad deployment. As for Windows 11, it has now been well over half a year since the operating system launched, and it seems as though most people have already come on board with it. Microsoft has yet to share Windows 11 statistics, as it combined the number into a 1.4 billion monthly active Windows 10 or Windows 11 device figure.
It is important to note that AdDuplex’s numbers aren’t indicative of all Windows PCs. The data in the report is only collected from around 5,000 Windows Store apps running AdDuplex SDK v.2 (and higher).
