AccuWeather on Windows 10 just picked up a complete redesign and new features in its latest update. Based largely on user feedback, AccuWeather updated its Universal Windows 10 app look with a fresh new take on weather; “Weather for Life.”
AccuWeather’s MinuteCast provides the “leading minute-by-minute precipitation forecast that is hyper-localized to your exact street address.” According to the AccuWeather app description, here’s a list of the new features:
- Completely updated our interface utilizing Microsoft’s recommended grid design principles
- Fresh new design has clean lines, colors, and modern icons, making the digital experience more appealing, intuitive, and easier to read than ever before
- The AccuWeather app offers the same Superior Accuracy™ and a new universal app experience on Windows 10 (desktop, tablet, and phone) providing a consistent design experience across multiple screen sizes
- Enabled Lock Screen slide show (PC/Tablet only)
- Enabled Dark Theme
- Performance enhancements
- Bug Fixes
- Cortana integration to include phrases within the app that allow the users to say: “Hey Cortana, what’s my AccuWeather forecast?”
