Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz, a new video game in the popular Super Monkey Ball franchise, will be coming to Microsoft’s Xbox One family of consoles later this year.
The game had already been locked in for an October release on Sony’s PlayStation 4 and Nintendo’s Nintendo Switch consoles but it wasn’t until this week that Sega officially confirmed on the official game website (via WC) that Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz was coming to Xbox One consoles and Steam as well.
Digital pre-orders for the Xbox One version of Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz aren’t live yet but the game can be pre-ordered physically on Amazon. Here’s the short official description given:
Hold onto your bananas, because Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD is rolling your way! Experience the magic of one of the most beloved titles in the series, now remastered in HD! Head back into the fantastical world of Super Monkey Ball and take back your bananas from the space alien pirate king, Captain Crabuchin. The Super Monkey Ball franchise had mostly been based on PlayStation and Nintendo consoles until now with only Super Monkey Ball Deluxe having made it to an Xbox console, on the OG Xbox at that. Several entries had come out on mobile with one, Super Monkey Ball 2: Sakura Edition, even making it onto Microsoft’s Windows Phone.
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz will launch on Xbox One on October 29th.
