With Bing posting a year’s worth of healthy profit finally, Microsoft seems a bit more confident in showcasing its alternative internet search tool, so much so in fact that the company is now announcing its first ever Bing Agency Awards.
The Bing Agency Awards is designed as an event to honor the “creative thinking and passionate hard work” of Microsoft’s agency partners. To honor partner contributions, the event will be held at New York City’s historic Gotham Hall and tap the comedic talents of SNL writer and show’s Weekend Update host Colin Jost as host.
Microsoft has extended invitations to the top 100 agencies that have worked with Bing. Unfortunately, invitations only extend to partners in North America during this first ever event. Perhaps, as time goes on, the Bing team may extend more invitations across a larger pool of international partners.
The Bing Agency Awards will host twelve categories of both individual and team recognitions that include:
Agency awards:
- Partner of the Year
- “Featurist” of the Year
- Optimizer of the Year
- Philanthropist of the Year
- Independent Agency of the Year
- Growth Agency of the Year
- Accreditation Agency of the Year
- Agency of the Year
Individual/Team Awards:
- Exec of the Year
- Bing Ads Trailblazer of the Year
- Account Team of the Year
- Lifetime Achievement
For anyone who cannot attend the Bing Agency Awards Ceremony on Thursday, September 15. 2016, Microsoft is also pointing fans to #BingAgencyAwards on various social media sites to find out who will be the lucky winners of the night. For now, invites will be sent out to select agency employees through the month of August.
If you would like to recommend or nominate an agency, you have until July 31, 2016. Let us know in the comments if you plan to participate.
