XOLO Win 10.1 inch tablet launching in India this month

Following recent reports about Microsoft teaming up with other OEMs for Windows Phone, and Karbonn Mobiles launching its dual-OS tablet this summer, another popular Indian brand Xolo has announced that it will be launching a Windows tablet this month.

First announced at CES this year, the 10.1-inch tablet will be running Windows 8.1 OS out of the box. The tablet, dubbed as Xolo Win, hopes to allure young working professionals. Powered by a dual-core AMD A4 Elite Mobility processor clocked at 1.0 GHz, it sports Radeon HD 8180 GPU for graphics. While most of the specs look interesting, the 1366×768 screen resolution sure leaves out a lot to be desired. Coupled with 2 gigs of RAM, 32GB eMMC as internal storage, the device sports a 2MP camera at the back and 1MP camera up front. Xolo claims the 3550 mAh battery will be able to handle the device for 6 hours.

On the connectivity front, the device lacks 3G and LTE support, and possesses a micro-HDMI and micro-USB slot. Meanwhile, Xolo has confirmed that the Office Home & Student 2013 productivity suite comes pre-installed on it. While the Indian giant didn’t reveal the price details, we expect it to cost around 20,000 INR ($320).
